The rise of agentic Al has brought with it new applications in home automation and personal assistants.

Clawdis is one of many attempts to create a truly extensible, practical and personal Al assistant. This blog post will just be a short setting up Clawdis and what I hope to get out from it.

My Setup:

There are many different ways of interfacing with Clawdis, I’ve chosen to use iMessage and Discord.

I’m currently using GLM-4.7 as the model powering the setup, I signed up for Zai’s coding plan a while ago and they have generous rate limits. So far it’s not been the best for coding, but is intelligent enough for this use case. I’m thinking of switching to a local 14b parameter model on my PC for a truly local setup though and will keep you guys updated on how that goes.

What I hope to get out of it:

Honestly I’m not too sure what I’m expecting to get out of it. I think I only care about:

  1. Replying to emails quickly

  2. Automating reminders or summaries of the day

I’m actually struggling to figure out what else I’d use it for. Already with my GLM4.7 AI coding agents they tend to go off track and not achieve their tasks in the way I would want, so I’m hesitant to actually use Clawdis for research or coding/dev. It just seems fun to have a personal AI assistant with random integrations into my life.

Anyways that’s about it, I’ll keep you guys updated on how it goes! thank you for reading don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe :)))
